BASILIO'S RESTAURANT

SETTING: Very quaint and rustic bar, much like a well-groomed tavern.  You can come in and have a beer or a fabulous dinner.

FOOD: When you're in a restaurant that serves a comfort menu, it is great to find that it is mostly Spanish comfort food that it serves.  First off, the bread that is left is lovely, with the rosemary infused butter setting the right tone for your palate.

The seafood clam chowder is a tasty and succulent starter (specially during a typhoon season) and the crab ravioli is light enough to whet your palate.  The garlic steak is as expected, hearty and cooked to your liking with a choice of how to cook your potato that goes with it.

The callos is how your grandmother made it, and with all the love.  If there's anything to it, it would probably be the portions, just because it seems a little small, but that is probably because the flavour is rich and robust.

WINE: There's nice selection of wines and local beers.  The bar is fully stocked as well, so drinks are aplenty for those looking to quench that medweek thirst.

PRICE: The pricelist is adequate for a tavernlike atmosphere and is proportionate to the food.
